CLAIMS BREAKDOWN

What Does It Mean to File a Claim?

Filing a claim is submitting your request to be reimbursed for an appointment, prescription or other health and/or dental service that is covered under your insurance plan.

By filing a claim, you’re providing documentation to Alumo so your claim can be validated, and you can be compensated for the cost.

HAVE YOUR CARD READY

Using Your Benefits Card

Your student benefits card has all the information you or your healthcare provider needs to submit your claim. Bring your card to your appointments so your healthcare providers can directly bill your insurance. Some healthcare providers will require you to pay up front but you can file a claim through the Alumo app to request reimbursement.

You can pick up a physical benefits card at the IGNITE office, download a digital card from the Alumo website, or access your card through the Alumo app.
